1. Health Insurance

John Brady agrees with Delawareans that this is the number one insurance concern in
Delaware.  Through offering various incentives, he intends to give Delawareans the opportunity
to take advantage of preventive programs, which in turn will lower our rates and reduce the
number of uninsured Delawareans.

2. Property insurance

John wants to improve the current climate for insurance companies, encouraging them to offer
property insurance to coastal property owners, especially in areas such as Sussex County,
where residents have very few options.

3. Automobile Insurance

The insurance rates for new drivers are quite high.  There are existing programs that help
mitigate these costs, but Delaware can do more.  John Brady wants to offer incentives to
parents, providing a driving course that will reduce insurance premiums while improving the
safety of our roads.

4. Agent Protection

Insurance agents are a critical piece to the insurance puzzle, but they're often left out in the cold
by Internet suppliers.  John has a plan to protect the interest of our agents and all
Delawareans.  Just like local retailers get credit for online purchases by local consumers, so
should local agents get credit for online insurance purchases.  If local suppliers provide service
to the consumers, they should be compensated for their work.

5. Chips (Children’s Health Insurance Program)

It’s unconscionable that Delaware has surrendered federal dollars from the Chips program
because children have not been enrolled in these programs.  This is Delaware’s own money
that’s being returned to the Federal government, requiring Delaware to use its own funds
instead.  This results in double payments for Delaware.  Through expanding the way we notify
Delawareans of the availability of Chips funds, we can save the State a lot of money while
improving the health of our kids.

Other Issues

The Five Point Plan isn't the end of the story.  The responsibility of Insurance Commissioner
can't be simplified into five easy steps.  John knows that there are other issues that affect
Delaware.  If you honor John with the privilege of serving Delaware, he will fight to have those
issues addressed.
